Can anyone help regarding using WINSPM on a Legend R7.0?
Customer wants to access programming for Legend off site using their network connection. They do the same now on their G3 systems. Looking for what hardware options are necessary.
Thank you

Either an Ethernet serial server, or a PC with some sort of remote desktop software. The port is 2400 baud plain serial.

If you've got a nearby Cisco with an unused serial port, you can set it up so that a reverse telnet connection will take you to the async port. It's a way of emulating an Ethernet serial server, like the one altaphon was talking about.

The solution mentioned by merlinman is made by the same company who write WinSPM. And he's right...it ain't cheap.

Email me with that info please.

That sounds like something I may need to do.

Oh, and by the way, when will Tek Tips set us up with some type of PM Service?
