Legend R5 trouble with reminder set in hotel

as always Thanks in advance for any help.

I am not to familiar with this feature, other than the directions I got from avaya.com but basically the customer says they press a preprogrammed "reminder set button, press DSS key for ext. #, enter time in 12 hour format, press 2 for am or 7 for pm." the ext. doesn't ring. from what I can tell they are doing it right and have verified it doesn't work. Unfortunatley I don't have much experience in a hotel setting, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again
 
Have this ever worked?

It could be they have their dss console set on the wrong page, or the Reminder Set button has been erased.

Have them do an "INSPECT" on the Remider button, and double check which page button is activated on the DSS.
 
They say it has always worked, I had them do an Inspect on the button so I could research how to use the feature so that is definately what the button is. I also had them manually do Feature 81 and follow the rest of the steps and it still didn't work. I origanally thought it was user error but it is a family owned Inn and the same people have worked there for ever. I personally have never seen it work but they say its worked for years.
 
Again, This points to the DSS, is it working?...Set tothe right page?
 
I've set it up before, and it should work fine. Old standby: Do a cold reboot of the system, and then check it. The DSS is essentially an autodialer, so you could put an autodial button for a particular room on the console, and try it that way. Adding to MM, on the DSS setup, ensure that the numbering of the DSS is valid.
