Legend R3 and Predictive Dialer

Greetings,

I need to connect a predictive dialer behind a Legend with an R3 proccessor. My prefered method of connectivity is with station side T1s (the phone system "sees" the dialer channels as extensions in a hunt group).

Will this version of the Legend suppor this? Do I use D100 cards or OPX type cards?

Any vendors in La Cruses, NM?

Can your Predictive Dial emulate E&M Tie Lines?


That may lead to a solution.

I don't think so. We typically request Digital Line-side T-1 Connections Using C.A.S., ESF B8ZS.

I'm not sure I know the what makes an E&M Tie different from the above.

Yes, but most of those interfaces do something in the way of TRUNK CONNECTIONS. (Ground Start, Loop Start, D-I-D and/or E&M)

Basically, that's what the LEGEND can deal with over a T1. (Besides PRI)

I would suggest you look into that to be sure.

BIG DIFF -

400 E&M does that and only that - E&M.

T1 Card can do E&M, Loop Start, Ground Start and PRI. HOWEVER, it can NOT do EXTENSION SIDE Loop start.

E&M is a two way TIE LINE connectivity usually used between 2 PBX's, and later between Central Offices and PBX's.

Anymore, Dial Tone Vendors tell customers they are selling "TWO WAY D-I-D", when in fact, they are providing E&M emulation over a T1.

So, my original thought was, your Predictive Dialer makes a call, and then, using a TIE LINE, transfers the call to an agent in the LEGEND.

That would be a TRUNK TO TRUNK Conference.

I have NO experience with Predictive Dialers (other than hanging up on them a bunch) but I have heard of it being done this way, and with PRI.
