Legend system that has a processor module that has a grey tab on it saying "with CKE5". But, report info. from "system information" off of Winspm shows "Slot 0: CKE4 CPU".

Any thoughts?

I just checked a processor on my test bench and it does report that it is a CKE5, so either yours is mislabeled or the info in the processor is incorrect. If this is a Magix system and all the ports work on a 016MLX module then you must have a CKE5 as I have flashed CKE4 to Magix and only the first 8 ports of a 016MLX would work. Brian Cox

Don't sweat it in either case. To date, both processors do the same things. TipHelp@charter.net

Brian,

You can upgrade both CKE4 and CKE5 to a magix processor up to 2.2 without any problems.016 MLX ,024 TDL all that will work fine. But if you try to upgrade CKE3 to a magix then you will have the problem that you mentioned only 8 extension will work on 016 MLX module.I hope that cleared this issue.

Good Luck.

For most of the time the 7.0 was out there was no such thing as a CKE5. It was relaesed when th emagix started being manufactured. so possibly with the version of the 7.0 you have it thinks "this has the upper memory so its not a 3 - its gotta be a 4" even though it is a 5. it is nothing to worry about.
