Legend power supply version?

Apparently MLM007 requires a specific vintage/version of power supply. There are no model numbers on the visible faces of my two power supplies, and the system inventory from winSPM doesn't give a version either... any suggestions, or if I power it down and remove it, where would I find it?

The label is on the side next to the processor. Should tell you which version power supply you have. Do power off before removing the power supply, and be careful not to break off the plastic interlock pin near the bottom of the power module's slot on the backplane. Brian Cox

If the power supply has 3 test ports under the power light (+5,-5,-48)and the power switch is up and down then its a A3 power supply,and if the power switch side to side then its C1 power supply,but if there is no test ports then its an older one either A1 or A2 and you should replace it.

Okay.. I haven't been able to take it out of service to check the label on the side, but the 1st carier supply appears to be a C1 per description above. the 2nd carrier supply appears to be an a3 per description above. (Both have test ports, 1st power switch is sideways, 2nd is vertical).... so. If I'm trying to convince my boss to buy an MLM 007 (which requires an A3), do both carriers have to have an A3, or just the carrier that the MLM would go in?

What you have is good to run anything ,you don't need to change any power supplies.C1 is better than A3 ,but in your case its enough for what you want to add.

OK, I've been following this thread and am now curious.
Aside from the test ports, what's the difference between a C1 and A3. More unit loads? I know A1 & A2 are old, but I dunno about C1 & A3.

The A3 provides 75 unit loads,C1 provides 96 unit loads,A1 &A2 provides 54 unit loads,there is also D1 that's magix power supply that can be installed in the metal carrier only and provides 96 unit loads like the C1.I hope that help you.
