I am networking a Legend Release 7.0 to a ShoreTel. I have both systems talking with no problems. The only issue is people on the ShoreTel want to be able to page people on the Legend. The page port for the Legend is 812. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

I don't know much about the ShorTel, but the procedure would be the same. Set up an extension on the S/T, tell it it exists on the Legend, set a route pattern on the S/T to drop the digits dialed and insert the 812 and send it to the Legend. Basically the same as what you should be doing for the rest of the calls to the Legend.

I am a little confused. I have the extension on the ShoreTel going to the Legend. I have been unable to get the Legend to activate the paging. On the Legend, the users use an autodial of #9 812. How do I get the call to automatically pickup line 812?

PS..Thanks for the reply!!

You'd have to go to a "Centrex" paging adapter on a single-line extension port so that the Shore-Tel users can dial it as an extension.

Thanks for the reply Tommy,

How do I get the single line extension to dial the #9 812 so the users can overhead page?

You don't. The Shore-Tel users dial the extension number of the single line extension on the Legend. The Centrex paging adapter answers the call, and connects the audio to the input of the amplifier.
