legend mail 007 mlm vs merlin messageing for magix 1

can anyone tell me what I gain overall on these two voicemail cards. have installed many mlm 007 but not the next generation merlin / legend messageing that you use in magix cabinets or with a clam shell for older back planes. price wise they can be purchased for about the same cost, so other than an older hard drive from the 007, do you gain anything.

Programming can be backed up to the license card, up to 12 ports instead of 6, 200 mailboxes versus 100, 100 hours of storage versus 21, unified messaging. The R4 has the record-a-call feature.

If you put the Merlin Messaging in a clam shell to use in a Legend, your Legend must be a Release 7 so that you have the feature "Rotary Enable" for the voicemail ports.

I would take a Messaging any day over the MLM-007. The MLM's are all getting tired now. The Messaging is a much better system.

I also prefer the Merlin Messaging. I recently found a digital drive that works with the 007 MLM instead of a hard drive, so I can still breathe life into these old workhorses.
