Hi, I would like to (after the suggestion of another member, in another post) like to try and set up my outside phone ringer as a group receiver. I would like to make inside phone extensions senders. So lets say the outside ringer is extension 3100(analog) and the extension that I want to be able to have ring outside is 3101(digital mlx). I want to be able to go to extension 3101 and press a button to have extension 3100 receive the calls ( which would ring the horn) But then be able to press that same button to stop the coverage. It can only be one button, not a softkey then an extension. I will have the externel ringer on an analog station port.

( unless setting a softkey as a forward button and saving an extension number to it that may be an easier solution. So press a softkey programed as forward with a stored extension)

Thank you!

Jake

No I have removed the voice mail system.

Then the answer is simple:

Using Centralized Programming, put a COVER BUTTON on 3100, and a COVER OFF button on 3101.

When 3101 presses COVER OFF, and LIGHTS the button UP, 3100 will not ring when 3101 rings.

When 3101 presses COVER OFF AGAIN, and turns that button OFF, then 3100 WILL RING.

Thanks! Ill give that a shot.
