Hi,
I have a site with a non-Avaya VM box. The customer needs to add a second attendant. Does anyone know what digits the Legend sents out (in-band integration on pots lines). I know it starts with "#0". I really need the line pool send codes, but if anyone knows the whole thing then ... GREAT. The project has started and we hit this wall.
Thanks,
-Chris

What is the voice mail system that's being used? Just curious. If you give me your e-mail address I can send you a document detailing Merlin Legend's VMI with one external VM system in particular.

Actually I found a weblink to the Avaya doc I was talking about --> This scenario involves tying the Legend with an Octel 50 VM system.

In any event, the Legend dial codes and whatnot should be what you are looking for -- #00# for subscriber login, #03# for goto voice mail, #53 for MWL on, #*53 for MWL off, etc. These would apply to integrating the Legend with most any external VM system I would imagine.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Greg,
I found that too, but I'm still fuzzy on the codes. The Legend is talking to a Phone Xpress, 4 port. Normally that guy lives on a Millenium (Eon) or system 3100 (ITT). I don't have a digit grabber, which might solve this. I need to send the calls to different call processors based on the incoming line. I will bet that the Legend sends that information in the DID string to the VM ports.

I have the mode codes in the office, I will post them tomm.

#00#XXX## Means this call is coming directly from extension XXX

#01#8XX## Menas this call is coming directly from a CO line or DID trunk number 8XX.

#02#CCC#EEE# Means this call is coming from extension number EEE which did not answer an inside call from extension CCC.

#03##EEE# Means this call is coming from extension number EEE, which did not answer an outside call either transfered to extension EEE or DID.

#06### test code sent to the voicemail after a powerfail to see if ports are connected.

#07### test code sent to the voicemail via a different port every 30 minutes to see if the ports are still connected.

#08##EEE# re-activation code sent to the Voicemail to report that port EEEE has been tested and found restored after a previous disconnect.

#10### sent after the night service button is turned off

#11### sent after the night nervice button is turned on

Hi jinxs,
That helps! You hit the nail on the head.

Thank you very much,
-Chris
