I have winspm 9.0 installed. connected a hyper terminal to the SMDR port. How do I print the entire system programming report ?? The PRT OPTS does not allow any printing. I looked at avery MENU option and see no PRINT abilty. I did get a call log print as soon as I connected to the SMDR so its working... Does 3.1 support printing the config ? I'd like a complete report before swapping out to a new processor (just in case).

I believe you would use the SPM part of Winspm to print the system config. From the system programming menu select PRINT option then select ALL. You can also save it to a file if connected via computer to Admin or modem.

....JIM....

You "print" it from within WinSPM. It actually captures a text file, which is then displayed in the report viewer, or you can find it in the Site Data folder.

I did not see a PRINT option in the system prog menu. Does ver 3.1 have that ability ? Or maybe I am going blind. I will try again, I cannot believe I would have missed a PRINT option. (you never know).

BTW - a pop up boc says that SPM part of winspm is not available in this release. Am I SOL ?

Are you sure it doesn't say that the "Quick Access" portion is not available?

You should have an icon for "Standard SPM" on the left hand pane. Click on it, you may get a warning that you will lose any saved information, then the screen will look like an MLX-20L telephone.

System Program, Start (or Exit for a Legend), More (Page Up), Print is F3. You have 3 screens of different reports available, use More to scroll through then. Pick the report you want, give it a file name, wait for the information to transfer at a blazing 2400 baud, then the report will appear. You can export it, or close it. It will still be available off line in the View > Browse Notes and Reports icons on the left hand pane.

You are RIGHT. It was quick access that is not supported.
I will dial back into the unit and see if I can follow the above steps. Thanks to everyone for the help!

Actually "PRINT ALL" is your first choice.

(It is shown as "ALL")

Of course you save it to a file, and it can take anywhere from 2 to 12 hours, depending on the size of the system.

Once you are in SPM:

System Program > Exit > More > Print > ALL ...give it a file name (I use ALL) and then press enter.

When I truly need a PRINT ALL to study, my habits are to back up the config to my laptop and then restore it to one of my bench units in "surrogate mode". This not only gets me off the customer's prem quickly, but allows me to perform the PRINT ALL from my own processor (where I have the luxury of time).
