legend 2.1 with IP Flex and 4ESS.....Possible??????Help!!

Can the merlin legend 2.1 take a IP Flex with 4ess Protocol. This one is so old it will not let me change the switch type to 5ess AT&T Custom......Thanks in Advance!!! Have not heard back from the Flex folks.

If the Legend is that old, I would recommend upgrading the Processor. They hardly cost a thing anymore and as you found, there is so many things lacking in that early release.

That's how I would approach this, but then again, I have more processors than I know what to do with.

Processors are not the problem either. the 2.1 has no backup card. I would hate to have to reprogram the Hotel to upgrade to a 5ess at&t custom.......Thanks!!!!!

The backup card wouldn't be in play anyway.

To do the UPGRADE, you would back it up to your Laptop and then do a CONVERT to whatever release of Processor you are going to use.

Then simply upload the converted file to the new processor.

Only takes a couple of minutes.

So when you restore from the C drive it asks you what you want to convert to in the process of the restore before you upload????? I was thinking of going from 2.1` to a 6 or 7 ver. if I have to......Thanks!!!!

The "CONVERT TO" choice depends on the release of the NEW processor you are using to replace the one you have.
