Legend 2.0 Call Forward on Busy

I am new to the telecom world and Legend system.

The organization I volunteer for has 4 loop start trunk lines using DLC. We have the basic 408 GS/LS-MLX, 008 MLX and 012 modules (as well as an unused 800 DID module). We are also using the DuVoice Ensemble VMS.

With the help of this forum (many thanks to TTTommy), the system is almost set up. The two outstanding issues are:

1. Is there any way to set up call forward on busy for the primary trunk line? Currently when that line is occupied and someone calls, it just rings and rings. Ideally if the primary trunk is being used, I'd like to forward it to one of the secondary trunks (all relevant lines are in pool 70). I looked thru the system programming guide and didn't see anything.
2. As I mention in item 1, if the primary trunk is occupied and someone calls, the caller hears endless ringing (all the secondary trunks give a busy signal when occupied). Is that a Legend setting or is it a telco problem?

Thanks for your help,
Brian

It sounds like you should order the hunt feature from telco. That way when one line is busy the calls would roll to another line and so on. We have this setup currently for fax machines. When our main number is occupied the calls roll to the next available number.

Hope this helps!

Does your customer have 'call waiting' on the first (or any) trunk? Check with your dialtone provider to be sure. If they do, cancel it, it will interfere with hunting. Hunting sequences need to be implemented by your dialtone provider. You will need to provide them with the telephone numbers and the order in which you want them to hunt.
