Legator NW: XDR Checksum failure during recovery - urgent!

Hi,

apologies if this has been asked before, but we need to recover files using Legator Networker (Solstice backup 5.5.1) on a SUN E450 solaris 2.6.

Whenever we try to recover a whole directory, halfway through recovery we get an "xdr checksum failure" error and the whole backup stops.

What can we do?

Does it always fail at the same point in the restore? Is there another drive you can try the recover in?

That error indicates the tape can't be read properly. Check your st.conf file on the E450 to make sure that the correct parameters are in place for your tape drive. You can also try cleaning the drive.. Try the recover again.. If it continues to fail, and you don't have a clone, I'm stumped.
