As part of our DR/Business Continuity, we're using Legato Octopus to mirror data from one site to another under Windows NT4.0 Server. Whilst the files on the target have the correct attributes like modified date and time etc. the Word docs are either empty or have lost their formatting and the Excel files are empty.
I'll grant you it's not an exhaustive test by any means - only 9 documents, but as only 1 of those 9 worked and we need to use this product for real, I'm scared.
I was led to believe that this product was an industry leader, but judging by my search just now which yielded one hit (Cheers Sofabed!) I'm not entirely convinced.
Anyone out there use Octopus and find it works OK? This is just for flat files at the moment. Our brief is to mirror Exchange v5.5 and SQL Server v7.0 as well.....!!![groan]
Cheers,
Sparkler.
