Does anyone one know if there is a special legato client for redhat ES ?

With the last two versions of the linux clients i get the following deps:

libncurses.so.4 is needed by lgtoclnt-6.1.3-1

I cannot find an ES specific client, can anyone advise ?

Cheers

Neil

You can install the client software with rpminst.

Uncompress files from the legato CD and install them with
an option "-nodepths" with the rpminst utility.
This will bypass dependency checks.

There're not absolutly necessary for Networker to work fine.

Hope this helps.

A little bit more info.

If you want to install "libncurses" you can visit " and search
for ncurses (NOTE: there is a '4' after 'ncurses').

Find the appropriate download for the ncurses4-*.rpm and install it using the following command:

rpm -Uvh ncurses4*.rpm

Hi there

Thanks for the info, but I am looking to solve the dependancies. Of course --nodeps will work but its not the solution we are after.

Its important that legato supports this OS for us, as we are moving our disk and oracle stuff to it,

Cheers
