At one of our clients we are implementing Microsoft SBS2003 Premium. They currently have a very old Novell 3.x network that they use to host Great Plains 8.2. We came up with the idea to take the floppy image that they use to boot the ancient computers and make it in into an ISO that could be booted from a VMWARE image. We were able to successfuly add the AMD ODI boot driver to the image and all works well. The customer is very happy because they are now able to get rid of the old computers and still access the old app.
The only issue is with the NOTES in Great Plains. When you try to open the notes in the ACCTS PAYABLE module on any vendor they will not open. A message flashes up very fast and disappears. We have try to capture the message using a VMWARE movie however it flashes too fast. I have tried reassigning the notes to a different hot key and it demonstrates the same behavior. We are using the DOSIDLE program in our Guest OS which does not seem to have any effect on the issue. (if we turn it off)
Any ideas would be much appreciated. Yes, we did verify that this functionality works on one of the old computers.
Thanks
