I'm linking up several tables with the visual linking tool and I can't get one of my table to left outer join. I can do it with the other tables in the report, but the one I added only allows an equal join. The radio buttons are grayed out. The table I'm bringing in has the same unique identifier as the main table and two of the other tables share the same identifier, those I can change the properties without any difficulty. What do I have set up wrong? I appreciate any help. thanks, Scot

Scot,
I don't trust that Visual Linker - it rarely does all of what I want, so I don't use it. What you could do is manually change the link from inner to left outer join, in the Database|Show SQL Query. Once you start editing the SQL Query in a report, the Visual Linker will no longer do anything. Which, in this case, doesn't sound like it would be a big loss. Malcolm

November is "be kind to dogs and programmers" month. Or is that "dogs or programmers"?

Thanks, That worked out for me.
