Our users are involved in reviewing and printing long mail threads on a daily basis. One email may contain many "Reply with History" attached to it.

To increase their readability, we would like to left align the "to", "cc", and "subject" fields when the reply with history option is used.

I am familiar enough with designer to make the changes if I new exactly what forms or templates needed to be changed.

Notes 6.0.1

Don't get too excited, I'm afraid I don't have an answer on the design front. However, this sounds like a job for Discussion Forums and/or Teamrooms. Have your users investigated the potential benefits of both these "freebies"?

Actually there is no easy way to change this.

The original message is copied entirely into the body field of the memo.
The header is aligned left already. But because of the letterhead layout the fields show to the right.

If you would like to change this then you would need to modify all the mail forms (memo, reply, reply with history) and change the location of the fields inside the header.

Alternatively you could create a completely new "reply with history" form that inherits only certain fields in new fields in your form. I mean: do not inherit the complete document in a richt text field (body) but create several fields that will inherit only the value from 1 field in the original document.
You will need to be very creative however to make this work also when people include several "replies with history".

Long discussions are better made in a discussion database. Or teach your users to use a normal reply and use the Threads view to navigate.
