I have a DTERM 16 set that has a message light that won't turn off. The user doen't even have a voicemail box.
Any way of turning this light off?
The system is an Elite IPK 64 with an 8 port CTI voicemail inskin.
we have this mistake happen all the time on our system. What happens is a user dials the station number followed by a 6. This sets the message waiting light flashing. Or someone has set a call back message on the phone.
There are two ways I have seen it removed:
To remove the light go to CM 20 and create an access code to = A46 (IVS) or A146 (IVS2). Go to the station with the light, dial the access code from the Prime followed by a 3.
Another way we do it is by picking up the offending phone's reciever, and press my line followed by 613 then hang up. This should clear out the message light.
The IPK is different and unfortunately I can't tell you the way of clearing this but it is a standard NEC feature and the answer should be in the user guide. All I can suggest is RTFM sorry. I'm sure someone here will soon pop along with an answer.
if it is the light on the top right corner go ahead and reset the mailbox to new then recreate it and leave a message and retrieve it
But if it is a line key with mwi the phone is probably forwarded all calls somewhere that happens alot
You can go into the voicemail system and have it refresh lamps. The feature is on one of the pages in switch or easymade application. If it is a VM lamp.
