LED message: 101100AC

Hi,

I have a 6C4 machine that whenever I boot up stops with that message 101100AC. In the front pannel an amber light appears and also in the back.

anybody knows what is going on.

Hi,

I opened the box and pulled out the power supply put back in, and the message I was able to boot the machine up.

does anybody knows how can I boot into maintenance mode a 6C4. I did put the first os. cd and pressed F5 no success, and pressed also F1 and nothing. Seems that I doesn;t boot from CD. only from hard disk.

have you tried press the number 6 (!)? I wish IBM would make up its mind on what button to push when you are trying to boot into maintenance mode. (sometimes if F5, sometimes F1, sometimes 5, and now 6!)

you were right with F6 I got the maintenance menu and edit some files and all came back.
