Hi,
I work at a manufacturing company that has made its bread and butter using telnet sessions and character based forms. We are now faced with having to upgrade to Forms 6i, but we are not sure whether that's the best choice.
We have over 100 forms running on three Unix servers with hundreds of concurrent users, all within our firewall. We have a team of 4 developers who already have a lot of other significant objectives lined up for this year. We were not planning on leaving Forms 4.5 behind, but seems we cannot avoid it.
My question is, can anyone comment on the pain threshold of moving 100 complex forms to a web based solution? We are reluctant to go 6i and remain character based; we know our ultimate destination is a web based app.
What options should we consider?
Does anyone have any horror stories?
Thanks for any comments,
Mark Kane
