I am fairly new to the IP Office phone system. A client of mine have a IP Office 403 with 4 analog centrex lines which needs to dial a 9 in order to dial out. The phone system have a 9N; short code. He wanted to add a voip terminal adapter from Broadvoice which he can make inexpensive international calls. How can I properly setup LCR with the correct short codes to make this work. The Broadvoice device doesn't need a 9 to dial out.

Thanks

Well - that's 2 different questions - so here's my attempt :)

1) To get the 'centrex/featureline' services to work is quite simple. You just need to resend the '9' to line. Take out the '9N' code and put the '? . dial' one back in (or just put '9N . dial'). This will send the '9' to line (in fact it sends everything dialled to line).

2) International broadband voice is a different kettle - how is the broadband router connected to the IPO? Do you have a VCM in the 403? Have you set up VoIP lines to point to the router? etc. etc. If you could expand on this one please.

cheers

The short code is [9]N;
Telephone: 9N
Line Group ID: 0
Feature: Dial

This sends a 9 to all lines in Group ID 0

The Voip phone line is connected to analog port #5 in back of the IP 403. It currently has Incoming/Outgoing Group ID 1.
I would just want this line to dial out for international calls only. Plus it doesn't require a 9 to dial out like the centrex system. How can I get IPO to know when someone wants to dial a international number to use the voip line only and not the centrex line?

Many thanks

for inter. calls only use this shortcode:

SC: 00N (or whatever you have for int.call access)
TN: .
LG ID: 1
Feature: Dial

Hope this helps...

Aha - seems I mis-understood your question. Doh! Anyway, VanZenden is quite right :)
