Hello,

I am a self trained Microsoft Access programmer. Though I have learned a lot of different techniques through doing, I would like a more foundational understanding of the languages that makes products such as Access, and SQL server work so that I can become a better programmer. Could anyone suggest an approach, training, other, where I can learn to code in VBA, SQL, XML, and other languages that would help me?

thank you straybullet. The site you suggested is very intuitive!

I know of a great course called Introduction to SQL. This course is affordable and covers intro to advanced SQL. It is an on-line that gives you the opportunity to meet 100 or more other students around the world. The course even suggests two great books (SQL for Microsoft Access and SQL Simplified) that were written by the instructor of the course. Take a look at the comments for the course. Go here or you can find it at the following site
