Hello,
I have the same problem listed above!!! Anyone knows what´s happend? I cannot add arp static!!

Hi all. I recently changed my main switch (i mean, the switch which interconnects all the other switches in our netork). I changed from an 4924 to a 5500G with software version 3Com OS V3.02.00s56.
My problem: We have two Microsoft Windows NLB clusters configured in multicast + IGMP mode. If you dont want every packet going to these clusters flood all the ports of your network switches you need to activate the learning of multicast mac adrresses (01-etc.).

That feature is working fine in the 4924's (i can check going to Bridge->Address Database->Find in the web interface that this address is indeed learned by the switch) but it is not working in the new 5500G, anyway I don't know how to check it since if you list the ARP addresses table it is not listing the multicast mac addrresses (but it doesn't show it int the 4924 neither).

So I think my question would be: How do I activate the learning of multicast mac adrresses in a 3com 5500G switch and how do I actually check that it has learned them?

Thank you all!

Thanks
