Hello,
I crossed over from the Avaya forum to here because I'm in the process of learning CUCM. I have access to a CUCM 12 from Cisco's Devnet and can practice in this lab environment. My question is what functions/features should I learn to have a solid basic understanding of CUCM? So far I'm focusing on call routing elements such as Partitions and CSS. Next would be device pools? Is there a logical way to approach learning CUCM? Go through the menu from left to right? Thank you.

I would say learn:

Device Pools
Regions
Route Group/List/Pattern
Translation Patterns
Directory Number
Partitions
Call Search Spaces
CTI Route Points
Trunks
Gateways
App/End Users
Media Resources

Those would be the basics if you will i feel and you can definitely manage a system knowing just those for the most part. All depends on the complexity and size of the system.

Thank you very much! I can use this as a road map.

Nice Cert collection btw!
