Hey greg,
I'm a bit confused by your post, AJAX is a client-side Java Script technology, what are you trying to do server side (PERL) with it ?
Or are you looking for the JavaScript to make it work without writing the JavaScript, which I'm assuming CGI does?
I don't use CGI for HTML, so wouldn't use it for JavaScript. If you want a basic JavaScript to play with I can provide, but my coding is designed for my purpose.
If you want a heavy duty Toolkit, I'd recommend visiting
