Trying to access numbers in the dialling plan, other than an extension gives a invalid tone

for example unable to dial *545 *546 *547 (External Paging, one of which should be on the MP card

also trying to test the Modem by dialling 227, also gives invalid tone

Hi,
Try dialling the codes without a *. You might be using a numbering plan that doesn't use the star prefix.
You can't dial the modem internally. Assign a ddi to it and dial the ddi or from memory you could call your in to any ddi from an external number and transfer to 227.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Mark
