In the past I have asked various question about the LDK-100.

Currently we have 2 offices and what I would like to is to link them via the phone system, I persume Broadband as this is the only common link.

1) Is it possible?
2) Would the sub office have extension numbers, like the main office?
3) Can calls be transfered between the 2 offices?

I'm sure I'll think of more questions as the idea pans out.

Thnaks in advance,
Jez.

Hi Jezt

Yes, it is possible to have a multisite system with several LDK-100.
1) Is it possible?-> Yes.
2) Would the sub office have extension numbers, like the main office? -> yes.
3) Can calls be transfered between the 2 offices? -> yes.

The installer will build it up with IP networking so all site communicate through the internet or own WAN.

It requires an VOIBE board and licenses for IP network in all the LDK-100 sites.

And a constant vpn tunnel with qos set up to portion voice traffic if you want to be sure that you dont experience call quality issues.

In this scenario I would always suggest a standalone manged Broad Band exclusivly for voice , if that is not possible due to the extra cost , ensure you employ the above VPN scenario with QOS set up, if you need help to determin what bandwith will be utilised on a site to site call in order to set youre QOS correctly let me know and i can link you to a good calculator ...alternativly i can give you the figures depending on codec and you can do the math , but a calculator is simpler and allows for overheads at the exchange etc.

Can i have the link to this Bandwidth calculator.

Dial Tone shoul be There

G711 A_Law payload is 64K plus headers for the LG systems you are looking at 87.2K per call, each way...
Need to remember that if ADSL is used - the badwidth is not always constant, depending on your provder and service you pay for.
Best to check the Contension ratio and upload speed of the circuit, so you know what you are dealing with.
