ldb not deleting

Hi, I'm sure this has already been covered somewhere, but the search functionality on the site is not up, so, sorry! The .ldb file for my backend is not deleting, even after everyone has exited. When I try a compact and repair it says *I* am still in it, which I know is not the case. Does this mean my db is corrupt? Thanks for any help.

Whats the size of your db?

Its very small, just a few mb.

Do you have a lot of recordsets and what not used in code for this DB?

It might help you to set the 'compact on close' option to 'on'.

I ran into the same thing yesterday, with an .mde file. Couldn't compact it, being an .mde file, but it had been compacted just prior to conversion. Ran the db a second time and the .ldb file disappeared!
