Hi, I have an Access 2K database on my hard drive. I am the only one who accesses it. While I am working in it sometimes, I will not be able to save forms or reports because it will tell me that someone else is accessing the file. I go out and look, and there is the .ldb file. I have to exit without saving and lose what I was working on in order to get rid of it.

What can I do to keep the .ldb from NEVER popping up? Because - it is not necessary in my case, it is just a hindrance.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I know it is, I just wanted to know how to keep it from opening. Thank you for the article link because I learned that I can 'open exclusive' and that way it will never create the .ldb.

Thanks again,

Lori
