Hello all-

Since SPS 2003 server doesn't support true LDAP user authentication. Does anyone know of a tried and true method (3rd party app) that can handle this?

We have people that have global ID's across the country. These ID's are Active Directory accounts which is not a problem BUT we also have users (employees) in Asia/India that have a certain global ID but they aren't AD user accounts.. some are Lotus Notes accounts etc. Would something like Netegrity Site Minder support this king of authentication? If not, is there anything else out there on the shelf that is reliable in type of scenario. As long as it authenticates the user to Sharepoint webparts and workspaces, we could further authenticate them using either Windows IAS and/or AAA via our Checkpoint firewall..

thanks for any information on this conundrum
