Hi every one

Is there any advantage of Novell LDAP over the iplanet LDAP product?
Which directory offers the best LDAP Server???

Thanks

They both work well. Usually it's a matter of cost. The iPlanet server comes with SunOS and you get a 200,000 object license for free. FWIW, openLdap is free.

The iPlanet/Sun ONE directory is the "defacto" corporate directory standard, so using that one over Novell you will ensure that any 3rd party app you want to use will work. The licensing is also an issue... and with Solaris 9 it gets even better :)

Also, rumour has it that SunOne Dir Server 5.2 will run on Redhat... think about the horizontal scaling you can do on the cheap now :>
