I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this since I couldn't find an Active Directory forum, but here goes.

I'm new to Active Directory and LDAP. I have a question about searching. I'm not sure if this can be done:
I'd like to execute a search that returns all the people (inetorgperson) in a specified organizational unit.

For example, here is my directory

ou=Sales
cn=john
cn=dave
ou=Finance
cn=jane
cn=phil

I'd like to execute a search that returns all the people in ou Sales. Can this be done? Thanks!

Microsoft Active Directory has a different object type for users, iNetOrgPerson is used by all open source directory servers.
For Microsoft AD and ADAM following filter will fetch all users
[Bold](ObjectClass=User)[/Bold]
And for open source directory servers like iPlanet/eDirectory the filter will be
[Bold](ObjectClass=iNetOrgPerson)[/Bold]

cheers...
