Hiya,

I have been asked to set up certain security on our meridian option 11c for international dial and need a little help with getting the SPN mapping to do what I want.

Basically - I need to know how I can create lower level internaional dial access whereby certain phones which do not have the NCOS set high enough to allow full international access can dial certain country codes (eg, our customer call centre based in Ireland). I currently have NCOS 6 (which is mapped RLI 6 and SPN 00 in LD90) set up for full access and all lower levels go out thru a different NCOS/route which does not allow the '00' international prefix.
I have created a new route in LD86 - RLI 4 - which maps to FRL 4, and set up the SPN 0035 (prefix for dialing to Ireland) in LD90 to map to this RLI. Cool. I then changed the NCOS on a test phone (which had previously been blocked) to 4, but it will not connect.
I figure this is probably due to the initial SPN 00 being mapped at a higher NCOS level, and therefore blocking the call as soon as the NCOS is below 6, but is there a way I can say "all international prefixes must go thru RLI 6 - except for 0035 which we'll allow thru NCOS 4" ????

I have been trying the ALOW/DENY codes in LD90-->SPN also, but haven't managed to get it working yet - any ideas ???

Thanks heaps!!

Paul

PS - Sorry if info is a bit jumbled I've kinda been tasked with this on limited Meridian knowledge - it been a looooong night !!! :-0

You have the right steps -
LD 90 - SPN to RLI
LD 86 - RLI to route with FRL

Check ld 87 - NCTL for Ncos 4 make sure the FRL is 4

Also, maybe you are not in US - but US must first dial 011.

If you set the ncos higher - will the call go through.

Check the rli for spn00 and see if there is a dmi assigned.
