WHEN YOU STAT THE D CHANNELS IN LD 96 THE STATS ARE
STBY- STAND BY
ACTV-ACTIVE
SERV-?
WHAT DOES THE ONE THAT HAS SERV NEXT TO IT MEAN, AND SHOULD I NEED TO BE CONCERNED

Serv is the status of service messaging between your pbx and the CO. They help keep individual B-channel status synced up (as in out of service or far end busy). Read the NTP as to which type of CO's this applies to. You can also see this using the STAT SERV command in LD 96. The stat isn't always persistant, so if you need this turned on to a particular switch, you should stat serv after reloads and upgrades...
