Hello,
Can't figure out why this happens sometimes.
I make a name change in LD 95.
eg. old name was Johnathan Smith
I change the names on the DN to Frank Jones
But the name shows up as Frank Jones Smith.
I end up having to nul that scr key to clear it. Then reprogram the scr key.

Why is it doing this? is it an XPLN length thing?
I have multiple sites and can't figure out the pattern of when and why it does this.

thank you

either out the name in 95 and do a new, or when adding different name in 95 use comma space John, Doe

rondphig,
CHG is not removing the original name, you are over writing only the portion/size of the new name.

Out the old name in ld 95 before adding the new one

Good Luck
Jeff

bigindian is correct...you do not need to OUT the name

at NAME, if you enter: Joe, Smith

The comma kills all following text and long names are overwritten - and the comma does not show up.

You get: Joe Smith

GHTROUT,

the comma is what i needed to know.

thank you

The default name format when you program is first, last and without the comma all you change is the first name.
