please see below TNB of secretary phone. She has a bunch of attorneys programmed on her phone that she answers for. A lot of their keys are showing as ACTIVE. Does that mean they are on their own phones making calls and because they appear on her phone I'm seeing these calls on her TN? I'm a little confused. Thanks..(and why is key 9 the first key shown as opposed to key 0?)

YOU ARE CORRECT, ACTIVATED JUST MEANS THAT THE DISPLAY IS ACTIVE ON HER PHONE, SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ON IT

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Key 9 printed first because she was talking on that line.

SHE was talking on it or the person whose ext it is was talking on it?

NO SHE WAS TALKING ON KEY 9, SHE ANSWERED A DID CALL FOR 2430 ON THAT KEY

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

BECAUSE THE ORGINATING PART OF THE CALL CAME IN ON A DID

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Two questions PerryPJ. A) we don't use DIDs here. key 9 is a system number. everyone uses system #s, not DIDs. B)how is the call on key 9 different from the calls on keys 8 and 27?

well if you don't use did's what's on tn 19-15, because it's built as a did trunk

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

you're right. It's a private line in route 31. but how do you know that was the call she was on?

BECAUSE THE KEY IS OUT OF SEQUENCE

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

The call TERMinates on TN 020 1 13 04 which is the secretary's TN.

If her TN is not the ORIGinating nor the TERMinating TN in the TRACE then she is not on the call.

Plus PERRYPJ is correct: key 9 is displayed out of sequence.

Hey Tcom,I would use descretion when cutting and pasting a traced call print out in this forum as you could be giving out the # to someone's bank followed by their pin or account #, giving everyone in here access to their personal information.Luckily the dial dn info above was just someone checking their cable TV account.I have been following all your threads and have just one question--Do any of your users have dialtone?!

jimeec, i too have been following his threads with great amusement thanks tcom for the laughs
