I am trying to execute some commands in LD 60 that can take either a "loop" or "card" as a parameter. How do you differentiate between loop and card if the loop is 1 and the card is in slot 1? I am trying to reset the card using DISL, STAT, ENLL, etc, but only seem to be referencing the loop.

Thanks

The format of the PORTS are SHELF LOOP CARD UNIT (i.e.,
1 2 3 4)
s l c u
h o a n
e o r i
l p d t

If your switch is an Opt11, the loop and card are the same.
02 01 = 2 1 = card/loop 2 unit 1

04 0 00 06 = 04 06 = 4 6 = card/loop 4 unit 6

Whatr type of NORTEL PBX do you use? It is depending if you use a Option 11 or a 61C, 81C. Is it a PRI or an DTI?

On Option 11C the slot where oyure card is insert refers to thier number in the ENLL command.

Option 11C
LD 60
ENLL Slot Number

If PRI/DTI is in Slot 2 then use:

DISL 2
ENLL 2

STAT 2

Note: If it is a PRI you have first to disable the D-Channel, in LD 96 --> DIS DCH x (x refers to the D-Channle Number). The D-Channel will aotumatically reenable when you do a ENLL x command in LD 69.

When using a 61C, 81C the com,mand is similar to the option 11C:

DISL Loop

Loop refers to the proper network loop of the M61, M81C. If you using a old PRI/DTI card then you have to follow the E-NET cable to its slot and count in the network shelf to find your loop number back. If usign a Dual PRI its very easy to count:

M61
CP0 Shelf Loops 0 to 15
Slot 1 --> Loop 0/1
Slot 2 --> Loop 2/3
Slot 3 --> Loop 4/5
Slot 4 --> Loop 6/7
Slot 5 --> Loop 8/9
Slot 6 --> Loop 10/11
Slot 7 --> Loop 12/13
Slot 8 --> Loop 14/15

CP1 Shelf Loops 16 to 31
Slot 1 --> Loop 16/17
Slot 2 --> Loop 18/19
Slot 3 --> Loop 20/21
Slot 4 --> Loop 22/23
Slot 5 --> Loop 24/25
Slot 6 --> Loop 26/27
Slot 7 --> Loop 28/29
Slot 8 --> Loop 30/31

On an 81C it is dependfing which network group your card located is, this is a little bit to hard to explain.

Hope this will help.
