New system - Option 81C CP CPII MMDU. Am confused with ld 43. What is the correct procedure for backup. I am confused with BKO and EDD commands. I have looked at DAT which shows:

database issue date time size seqno
main 2540 02/06/2005 at 03:06:41 360 1067
secondary 2540 01/06/2005 at 03:07:10 360 1066
backup 2540 02/06/2005 at 03:06:41 360 1067
Current backup is on floppy diskette on CPU 0

CIOD157 INFO: CMDU 1 is ACTIVE, RDUN is ENABLED

Would appreciate the correct backup procedure for this system.

LD43 - EDD - the system will backup to the floppy in the active MMDU.

There will be times when the EDD failed and the system will tell you to run an attended backup (ABKO) from LD143.

MIDN routines will also run an EDD to the active floppy as well.

i do a dual backup, but just to be redundant.

ld 43
edd
ld 135
scpu
ld 43
edd

i also have a set of disk for each day of the week. the switch backs up during midn, if any changes were made that day, i do dual backups each morning before 7:30..

Thank you for the information. Was just a little confused from the older systems we have.
Thanks again.
