I have a IP403 2.1(27) connected via ip line across fiber to s8300. Internal calls are fine back and forth udp. I want to have the remote site IPO dial a number and via lcr go out ip line first then copper second. I have set this up in the past with all copper. When I set up the shortcodes in lcr main:

code 9N
Tn 9N to insert a 9 at definity before number
fe dial
gid 6 which is the ip line

I do this and get second dial tone from the definity?
Do i need to delete all the system 9xxx etc. shortcodes?

Any idea?

Ok. here is the updated issue. I have set up a shortcode to dial my cell from the ipo

915552223333 shcode
915552223333 dial
dial feature
6 lgid

I hit the definity but get 'da,da'da' stutter tone, like it doesn't know what to do with the call?

I have checked trunk to trunk on, and even if i do a list trace tac and watch the call come in, no digits are coming over from the IPO, No firewall between the 2 switches, just definity-data switch-fiber-data switch-ipo?

When you get the stutter tone, if you dial anything it goes to the operator showing my extension name and number but
'to unknown name'?

I would check two things:

1. Change the feature from Dial to Dial 3k1
2. Check the COR's on the Definity side and make sure they can access your outside lines.
3. Verify your settings on the signalling and trunk groups associated with the IPO.

Good luck.

Jtierney,

I tried the Dial 3k1 no good, the cor's all good, set as 1 for the ip line and 1 for the outbound pri. What do you mean by signaling and trunk forms? I have set this up according to the white papers from avaya. User's can dial back and forth fine, and inbound DID from main PRI across Ip line to IPO is fine too?
THanks

itr sounds like the definity is not seing the digets after the 9
try adding a , after the 9 in the telephone number field to insert a delay

I Always use

9xxxxxxxx
NJ
1
Dial

Everything else is programmed in the Definity
