LCR w/ fallback option...

I've just gotten our demo IPO 2.1 and we're doing some testing for our environment.

What I need is this...

[8]xxxxxxx needs to try going out the QSIG PRI first, but if thats down, go out the local PRI instead. If the local PRI is down, it needs to go out the backups.

I also need this for [9]1xxxxxxxxxx. Seems simple enough but these darn "shortcodes" are so cryptic. I wish there was a "tips and tricks" on shortcodes available.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

In Least Cost Route create Main Route, you add short code:
[8]xxxxxxx
8N
10 (Qsig PRI)
dial

then go to Alternate Route 1 , and create same short code as above, but change Line group ID - usually for local PRI is 0.

Do the same for backup (Alternate Rouite 2) and set timeout to 0.

For [9]1xxxxxxxxxx numbers do the same as above.

So Secondary dialtone now works within LCR? Thats Great (and about time). All the docs I have say that the [] aren't permitted.

I'll try that....

Just tested it & secondary dial tone does work with LCR on V2.1
(still prefer the default operation of just dial no prefix reqd.)

for sec dial ton in LCR create the trigger code in SYSTEM short codes

Short code 9
Feature SecondaryDialTone

then programm the shortcodes in LCR as normal

Yup, finally got it working. This is GREAT. Its come a LONG WAY since 1.3. I remember on 1.3 whenever I'd pull up the clock on the phone, the switch would reset.
