LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests

I get the following error when trying to connect my win2k server to the linux box.

pppd[1630]: Using interface ppp0
pppd[1630]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyC0
pppd[1630]: LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
pppd[1630]: Connection terminated.
pppd[1630]: Hangup (SIGHUP)

Any ideas?

Verify your pap-secret file to have the right entry for authentication.
