Hello, I like the idea of two screens, being able to view two apps at once. I would really like instead to have a widescreen lcd that acts as two screens. I dont want to be rearranging apps to fit on both sides. Do any of the lcds have software that you can split it down the middle so it acts as two desktops?

Thanks,
Kurt

It's only easy when you know how.

If you mean 2 separate desktops, I think not. You have one desktop but with increased area you can have say a word window on one and excel open on another. The mouse moves across these spanned monitors as though they were one.

I use 4 spanned, and can code interactively and see the changes as they are made without having to switch views.

I have also been watching the wide screens and one could have two docs open in a side by side manner easily. Cost is the limiting factor. For utility, I would suggest that the mdl have a vertical height of at least the length of a piece of paper 11" in this case. These are avail but costly, alot more than 2 std 19" LCD's.
