I am about to replace an almost maxed out MICS 5.0 with a BCM 400 that will be the central figure in a network.

Does anyone know of a way to transfer a NRU backup to a different System ID, in other words, transfer the NRU backup where I can put it on a jump drive and dump it to the BCM system, thus saving me about 12,000 hours of programming?

NO ...
but generally a maxed out MICS is 'bigger' than BCM400.

If you dont need IP Clients, Why not try and upgrade to 7.1XC ...that lets you use 2 more station mods

It is almost maxed, but not all the way and sales sold this Government 4 BCMs and a gateway for an existing system.

The site I'm referring to is going with a mix of digital and VoIP sets and I am still eating up 5 bus slots off the bat with the 2/6 split.

try looking at the excel based startup profile template ...
that might be easier

Yeah, I was looking at the startup template and that was what got me thinking about this other thing.
