Layout tab (Section Expert)

I wanted to print sub report information into multiple columns. for eaxmple:
1234-233 1323-234 1234-211
1223-122 3233-322 3443-232

I selcted on sub report details sections (section expert)format with multiple columns, then on layout tab, I defined width and height and selected printing direction Across then down.

The problem is it si not working. All I get output like this

1234-233
1323-234
1234-211
1223-122
3233-322
3443-232

Any clue?

I got it. It was field size set alomost page size . hence was not making columns. After setting field size to the requried length, then the data moved across first then down.
