When I view the report from the Preview tab in VS, the layout is fine and aligned correctly. If I go to the Report Server on the web, and view the report, textboxes are longer on the right, and alignment is off all over the place.

Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks!

That happened to me when I had a subreport that was wider than the main report. Go back into your VS, layout mode, and check all your report objects. You'll probably have to scooch them to the left or shorten them on the right side. Also, you'll have to narrow down the body of your report.

If your objects are marked "Can expand with contents" (or whatever the wording is) and your report body is larger than you realized, you need to scroll to the far right, hover the cursor over the right edge of the report until you get the little size handle icon, then click and drag to the left. Watch the ruler bar up top. It'll tell you how wide the report is actually trying to be.

Hope that helps!

This is a generic issue as well - sometimes they just don't align the same - this is because the rendering engine in the development area is different to the rendering engine on the server - if you want to check whether your report looks ok, the only real way to tell is top deploy it and check it from the report manager...

Thanks Catadmin / xlbo!
I made sure "Can Grow" was False on the objects. Seems that ANY overlapping will throw everything off.
We ended up using tables for the textbox objects, and that's helped a ton. The report looks much better, and is aligning the best yet. Still isn't perfect, but it's getting there.

I ran into this problem and noticed that when I stopped overlapping text boxes and such, it fixed the problem.
