I have a layout at my office using Act6.0 that I want to use at home....and I learned on a forum that the pertinent files for layout are the ones that have the extensions .cly and .gly

I've copied them into the correct folder but don't know how to get the program to recognize them.

What do I do?

Do you also have a copy of the same database?

The layout files will only display the fields that are in the database... if using a different database, they won't help.

Have a look at this article -

I started out by copying all the database files from office to my home computer...so everything should be the same. Is there a place where I can see a list of all the fileds in the database?

Actually...I just realized that in one case...I'm even synchronizing my database with another in our office and can't get that one to display the same layout as mine either.

I figured it out. I have to "save my layout" and give it a unique name. Then it is easy to find the file and use it on other machines. Thanks for your help.
