layers palette

I can not find the layers palette eventhough it has been marked as visible under the windows in the main menu bar. Is there a way to reset the pallets to the original settings so I can find layers.

Close Illy.

Locate a file called AIPREFS.

Delete it.

Relaunch Illy.
