Layer state import & export

Is it possible to import layer states from one drawing to another? I am required to convert to record set drawings to client specifications. their layer requirements are different from our standards. (mostly colors and pen assignments). Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

depends on your version of CAD really......
Om 2002 there is a Drawing Standards options, which allows you to set a drawing standard, ie, your client specifications, then bring in all your drawings and if the layers are different or not there then the Drawing Standards tool will correct it all and you have the option to let it do it automaticly or manually for fine tweaking....
This is only available in 2002 or 2002lt Jay~
