Layer question

Hello,

I have a 40 page doc with text and images but they are all on the some layer. I now want to put the images on another layer but it appears that then I cant arrange the images behind the text. Am i just missing something or cant I put layer 2 behind layer 1?

check out the layer palette (window menu)...vertical positioning of each layer determines which appears in foreground or background. you should be able to drag and drop 'layer 1' and 'layer 2' and indeed any other layers in any order you so choose, thereby changing the presentation sequence.
